You don’t need TikTok’s native analytics to keep tabs on a creator — and you couldn’t use it for someone else’s account anyway. The fastest way to monitor any public creator is to export their posts to a spreadsheet on a schedule and watch the numbers move.
This guide is a simple, repeatable workflow for tracking a creator’s output — whether you’re watching a competitor, vetting an influencer before a partnership, or keeping an eye on your own brand account.
Why export instead of scroll?
Scrolling a profile tells you nothing you can measure. Exporting gives you one row per post — views, likes, comments, shares, saves, duration and post date — that you can sort, chart, and compare week over week. Patterns that are invisible in the feed (a dip in posting, a format that suddenly pops) jump out in a spreadsheet.
The weekly monitoring workflow
- Set a baseline. Paste the creator’s profile into the TikTok Posts Exporter and export. Save the CSV with today’s date.
- Pick a cadence. Weekly is plenty for most creators. Put a recurring reminder in your calendar.
- Log three numbers each time. Posts published since last check, average views per post, and average engagement (likes + comments + shares + saves ÷ views).

- Chart the trend. Plot posts-per-week and average views over your check-ins. Rising together = momentum; posting up while views fall = fatigue.
What the numbers tell you
- Cadence. A creator quietly posting more (or less) often is a signal — a push before a launch, or burnout.
- Engagement quality. Views can be bought; sustained comments and saves are much harder to fake. Track the ratio, not just the headline number.
- Format shifts. Sort by views and read the captions of the top posts — the creator is telling you what’s working right now.
