Follower counts tell you how many people could see a creator. They tell you nothing about who's actually engaged enough to type a reply. Today we're launching Audience Analysis for TikTok — a fast way to profile the people in the comment section by estimated age, gender, and country.
It comes in two flavors: Post Audience (one video) and Profile Audience (a whole channel). No login is required, and pricing starts at $1 per 100 commenters.
Why commenters, not followers
A follower is a passive number. A commenter has already taken the single most engaged public action available on the platform. If you want to understand who a piece of content actually resonates with — for influencer vetting, market research, or campaign targeting — the comment section is the highest-signal sample you can get without TikTok's private analytics.
Audience Analysis ranks the most active unique commenters and then estimates three things for each one:
- Age range — AI-estimated buckets (13–17, 18–24, 25–34, 35–44, 45+) inferred from display name, username, and comment text.
- Gender — AI-estimated (male / female / unknown), using cultural naming and gendered language patterns.
- Country — estimated from the language each person comments in.
Age and gender are estimates, not declared profile data — TikTok doesn't expose that publicly — so treat them as a directional read on the audience, not a census.
Post Audience vs Profile Audience
Post Audience analyzes the commenters on a single video. Paste a TikTok video link, choose how many commenters to profile, and you get the demographic breakdown for that specific post. This is ideal when you want to understand who engaged with one viral clip or a specific piece of branded content.
Profile Audience fans the same analysis across a creator's most-commented videos, so the report reflects the whole channel's commenting audience rather than a single post. Paste a profile URL or @username. This is the view you want when vetting a creator for a partnership — one video can be an outlier, but the channel-wide picture is harder to fake.
What you get in the report
Every analysis returns the same clean report:
- Gender split with percentages
- Age distribution across five buckets
- Top countries with flags, ranked by share
- Comment-language breakdown
- A ranked table of the most active commenters — username, comment count, likes received, and their estimated age, gender, and country
You can preview the exact layout with sample data right on the Post Audience and Profile Audience pages before you run anything.
No login, pay only for what you analyze
You don't need an account to run an Audience Analysis. Pick how many commenters to profile and pay once:
- 100 commenters — $1
- 250 commenters — $2.50
- 500 commenters — $5
- 1,000 commenters — $10
If you're already on a ZocialComment plan, the same tiers are billed from your monthly credits (10 credits per commenter) instead of a card.
How to run your first analysis
- Go to Post Audience (for one video) or Profile Audience (for a whole creator).
- Paste the TikTok video link, profile URL, or
@username. - Choose how many commenters to profile.
- Pay once — or use credits if you're signed in — and the report builds in under a minute.
Where it fits with the rest of the toolkit
Audience Analysis sits alongside the tools you already use here. Export the raw comments with Comment Export, run sentiment and topic detection with AI Comment Analysis, benchmark a creator's reach with Profile Analysis, and now profile who is in the conversation with Audience Analysis. Together they answer what people are saying, how they feel, and who they are.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to log in?
No. Audience Analysis works without an account — you pay once per analysis. Logged-in users can pay with plan credits instead.
How accurate are the age and gender estimates?
They're AI inferences from names and comment text, not declared data, so treat them as directional. At the scale of hundreds of commenters the aggregate distribution is far more reliable than any single guess.
How is country determined?
It's estimated from the language each person comments in, which is a strong proxy for region but not a precise geolocation.
What's the difference from Profile Analysis?
Profile Analysis studies a creator's content and performance — engagement trends, posting patterns, and an AI summary. Audience Analysis studies the commenters — their age, gender, and country. They're complementary.
