Instagram Reel Transcript

Paste any public Instagram Reel or video post and get its transcript — the spoken words as text with timestamps — to copy or download. No login, no app.

Turn any Instagram Reel into text

Instagram shows no captions you can copy, so this tool listens to the Reel instead: the audio goes through a speech-to-text model and comes back as clean text with timestamps — ready to copy, download, repurpose into a caption, blog or script, translate, or feed to an AI. Paste a link and the transcript arrives in seconds for a typical Reel; nothing to install.

To grab the video file, use the Instagram Video Downloader; for the comments, the Instagram Comment Exporter; for a whole account’s posts, the Posts Exporter.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get an Instagram Reel’s transcript?+

Paste the Reel URL above and click Get transcript. The spoken words come back as text with timestamps, ready to copy or download. No login required.

Does Instagram provide captions the tool can read?+

No. Instagram exposes no caption track, so the tool transcribes the audio itself with a speech-to-text model. That is also why long videos are capped at 15 minutes.

What languages are supported?+

Around a hundred, including Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay, Spanish and Portuguese. The language is detected automatically and shown with the result.

How accurate is it?+

Clear speech transcribes very accurately. Heavy background music, several people talking at once, or slang can produce mistakes, so proofread before publishing.

Can I get subtitles with timestamps?+

Yes. Download the SRT file and it drops straight into a video editor or a Reel repost as subtitles.

Is it free?+

Yes, three transcripts a day per person, no login. A pass makes them unlimited. Passes are one-time payments, never a subscription.

Is transcribing someone else’s Reel allowed?+

Transcribing a public Reel for notes, study or research is fine. Republishing the transcript as your own content is not: the words belong to the creator.

Will the creator know?+

No. Nothing is posted, liked or followed from any account, and Instagram sends no notification.
